Description
This cabinet was made as a base for my terrarium. In addition to providing storage space for reptile supplies, the cabinet also serves as a workstation—ideal for preparing food animals and performing minor maintenance. Because the terrarium itself is made of OSB, I chose to build the cabinet in the same style.

I started with a sketch on paper and then entered all the necessary dimensions into TOSIZE.es.
I ordered the necessary furniture fittings—such as hinges, door handles, and adjustable feet—from another supplier.
Once everything was inside, I pre-drilled the top, bottom and side panels and screwed them together. Then I installed a pull-out bin and measured the interior shelves from that point onwards.
I attached the shelf supports and slats to the sides and then put the shelves in place. Next, I nailed the MDF back panel in place. Because the idea for the rubbish bin came later, I had one shelf left over — I sawed it in half and used it to make two extra compartments on the right-hand side.
Next, I marked out the hinges, pre-drilled the holes and fitted the doors. Finally, I added the magnetic closures and handles, and the cabinet was ready to be placed under the terrarium.
After a quick trip to the DIY store, I also added drawer runners, which I used to make a pull-out worktop from the leftover wood.
The result is a practical, sturdy cabinet that fits perfectly with the terrarium and offers plenty of space for all the reptile equipment.
