Description

A floating desk with a separate blind shelf with LED lighting. Desk has no legs and is attached to the wall by means of a frame.

Sleek, floating desk

Made a frame of 4 spruce beams and attached it to the wall (3x), and the last one in front. This as well attached to each other. Then a cut-to-size MDF plaat lakdraagfolie with rounded corner (front) mounted on the frame with a short overhang. On the long side to the right a second part and make sure that both plates are exactly the same height. Then fill the seams well and then in 2-component colored lacquer and provided with a 2-component gloss lacquer (against scratches). Plank ditto, also with a lacquer carrier foil plate on the underside and then fill and sand the top side. Mount the LED lamps and driver in the (hollow) shelf before screwing and painting them.
