Work description: how did you realize your project

The planks already arrived to size. First we laid back plates on the floor and then marked with pencil where the other planks will be (see photo). Above the worktop we have placed a small shelf of 20.0 cm wide. We cut this plank to size ourselves. By marking out you could see exactly where the wood glue had to go and once the planks were in place, you had to wait for the glue to dry. We then secured the shelves at the back with screws (see photo) and gave the desktop extra support (see photo). It has become a very sturdy and stable house. Just a lick of paint and then our little girl can craft.

Final size: What are the outer dimensions?

The house is 1 meter wide, 1.30 high (to the ridge), and the worktop is 50.0 cm high.
