A large TOSIZE Furniture custom cabinet made of MDF, by Hidde

Hidde shares his experience in a DIY project of fully assembling a large TOSIZE Furniture compartmentalized cabinet to measure. He did the design, assembly, and painting himself. By choosing blank MDF, he was able to paint the cabinet in a beautiful matching light color.

We wanted a custom compartmentalized cabinet because we couldn't find anything that met our needs. Luckily, we could measure it exactly here.

How I Made This Project

We had a rough idea of what we wanted. We started working with the digital design tool, indicating width and height and puzzling. Once you get the hang of the tool, it's easy to merge and remove pieces. Add doors, optionally with shelves. We had it delivered untreated. It arrived on a pallet, a nice kit. Together with the clear assembly instructions, it's an easy task to put it together.
