Laura shares her experience in this DIY project of designing, assembling, and painting a large custom TV cabinet. She opted for a TOSIZE furniture cabinet in paintable MDF.

We wanted a TV cabinet where we could hang our Frame TV (like a painting). We also wanted plenty of storage space because we have a newborn and needed space for beautiful items. We couldn't find the ideal cabinet that met all these requirements and was in the right color (at a reasonable price). We're not super handy, but after asking a friend who had also bought a cabinet here, we felt confident enough to give it a try.

How I Completed This Project

First, we created a beautiful design online through the website. We experimented and tried different options online and then had easy communication via email and phone. The advice for the TV compartment (depth, how to hide cables) was particularly helpful! When the cabinet was delivered as a DIY kit, we assembled it in an afternoon with two people. It was very easy to do with the clear instructions provided! Painting (priming and finishing) was by far the most work. Hanging and adjusting the doors was a breeze (with the tip that the cabinet must be perfectly level beforehand). We are extremely happy with the result!
