Frank has pimped his antique hanging cabinet. He needed more storage space, so he decided to add shelves to this antique cabinet. By ordering custom-cut panels, it's very easy to pimp your antique cabinet yourself.

We have turned an antique hanging cabinet into a shelving unit by adding matching shelves. The shelves were stained and then varnished to achieve a beautiful result.

How I made this project

First, we measured the dimensions of the shelves we needed. We installed cleats and spacers in the cabinet. Then, we made the ordered panels fit snugly into the cabinet, cutting out corners where necessary. Next, we stained the shelves with mahogany stain, applying two coats. Once the stain was dry, we varnished the shelves. The whole project took us 2 days, and the result is fantastic. We've transformed an antique hanging cabinet into a practical shelving unit that we hope to enjoy for a long time. Thanks to this handy webshop.
