Storage space under sloping roof in front of the attic, by Ruud

Description

Everyone knows the problems that a pitched roof in an attic entails if that space has to be used for storage. I chose to make a storage cupboard of which six parts can be wheeled out on wheels under the sloping hood. This gives you excellent access to all your belongings without having to crawl on your stomach in the bottom of a cupboard. The whole is based on the sizes of the blue crates, of which I had a set.

Custom cabinets under a sloping roof

The working drawing is shown as a picture. The cut parts were all perfectly tailored, so it was just a matter of putting a cabinet on its side to get an idea of the end result (see photo). Then carefully mark where the screw holes should be on the sawn parts of 1 cabinet. then drill the holes. The parts of the first cabinet were used as a mold for the other five. Then put everything together with wood glue and screws. It looked like a kit.

The dimensions of the project

1 part is 100.0 cm deep, 105.0 cm high and 55.0 cm wide. In total there are 6 parts next to each other.
